11x12mm Green/Pink Apple Beads [50]
Style: G1812
Cost per bead: 8.4 cents
Bead material: Glass
Country of origin: Czech Republic
Size/shape: Flat apples. 11mm (from hole to hole) x 12.5mm (wide) x 5.5mm thick. The hole runs from the top to the bottom of the apple, through the 11mm dimension.
Colors/description: A mixture of striped opaque and translucent olive green with opaque pink. Generally, the opaque pink is on the bottom one-third of the apple. The proportion of colors varies from one bead to the next.
Hole size: 1mm (estimated).
Defects: The pictures revealed defects on about 20% of the beads: cracks, pits, dirt in the glass, and groups of bubbles (generally, a bead will have only one or two of these defects). Most of the beads have bubbles, but only a small percentage have bubbles in groups. (I'm not counting individual bubbles as defects.) Some beads have very little pink in them, but I'm not counting that as a defect. I reduced the price by 20%.
How photographed: At the window in natural daylight.
Comments: These beads aren't well finished. If you look at them closely, you can see all kinds of little defects. However, the overall price is low for beads of this size, and I took 20% off because of the defects, so you can eliminate the worst beads and still not pay a lot for the good ones. The colors look best in bright light. In low light, they can look a little dull.
