Important:  The new batch of these beads are a lighter pink, meaning that the color is not as rich as the original batch (the original batch is pictured).  Also, the stripes in many of the beads are poorly formed.  To complicate matters, the supplier's price went way up (meaning that I got worse beads for a higher price!).  I didn't immediately notice that the new beads weren't as nice; but when I did, I lowered the price from 12.8 cents each to 9 cents each.

However, when I changed the price, I actually doubled the lot size from 25 to 50.  In other words, I had been selling 25 beads for $3.20, and I changed that to 50 beads for $4.50 -- but I forgot to change the "[25]" designation to "[50]"!  Since my description says that the new beads are worse than the old ones, people stopped ordering them altogether.  I finally figured out my mistake and fixed it.

Please note that I used to call these beads "porphyr" beads (a term I got from a supplier).  However, when I investigated the appearance of porphyry rock on the internet (from which these beads were named), I found that it looks nothing like the beads; so I am gradually abandoning that term.
