8mm Fuchsia Picasso 3-Cut Round Beads [25]
Style: G1915
Beads per lot: 25
Cost per bead: 12.8 cents
Bead material: Glass
Country of origin: Czech Republic
Size/shape: 8mm round with 3 facets cut around the middle.
Colors/description: Translucent fuchia or ruby red beads (see Comments) with a thin grayish-brown picasso coating on the round portions.
Hole size: 1mm (estimated).
Defects: These are fire-polished beads (i.e., the facets were made shiny by heating the surface until it turned molten). Fire-polished beads always have some imperfect facets. In this case, a majority of beads have one facet which is dull and/or not perfectly flat. Also, I noticed some very small nicks in the glass at the edges of some of the facets. However, the imperfections are not as pronounced as some of the other 3-cut beads that I carry.
How photographed: At the window in natural daylight.
Comments: The supplier calls these beads fuchsia, but to me they look more like ruby red. However, when the light hits them in just the right way, they do look fuchsia. You shouldn't order them unless you will be satisfied if they look only red to you.
