Beads per lot: |
100 |
Cost per bead: |
2.6 cents |
Bead material: |
Glass |
Country of origin: |
Czech Republic |
Size/shape: |
3mm (from hole to hole) x 5mm (wide) nugget-shaped beads. Since they are wider than they are long, they can be considered unevenly shaped rondelles. |
Colors/description: |
Translucent light amethyst with a gold-luster coating on each bead which, to my eyes, actually looks a little coppery. |
Hole size: |
1mm (estimated). |
Defects: |
I haven't noticed any defects. It's almost impossible to see defects in beads this small. |
How photographed: |
Under two daylight-balanced lamps. Note: Using lamps leaves two bright spots on each bead, but that can't be helped. |
Comments: |
My picture isn't accurate. For some reason, cameras in general (including both my old and my new camera) do not "see" luster coatings very well. Not only do these beads have a luster coating, but it is gold or coppery in appearance. In my opinion, the beads look much better than the picture indicates. All of the beads in the pictures are sitting on their holes, so you can't see what they look like when they are strung. When strung, they look like uneven rondelles. I can't string all of the beads that I have bought that are in this shape, so I am including a picture of the green luster beads, which I did string. That will give you an idea of what the beads look like when strung. |
