These beads have a typical seed-bead shape, which is somewhat like a pony bead with rounded edges. The beads are 4mm wide and approximately 3mm long or thick. |

Dark bronze with a multicolored "iris" coating which is not very pronounced (see Comments below). |

Under two daylight-balanced lamps. Note: Using lamps leaves two bright spots on each bead -- especially on round beads -- but that can't be helped. Also, the close-up shots may show defects that the human eye can't discern. |

Unfortunately, my pictures aren't the best -- that's because the two lamps put two very bright reflections on each bead. Also, under my lamps the beads look brighter and more bronze than they do in the pictures (meaning that they look better in actuality). As you can see in the pictures, the shade of bronze is slightly different from one bead to the next -- that's due (I believe) to the iris coating, but I'm not sure. Because of the iris coating, you'll see an occasional hint of purple or blue. These beads are from my 1980's stash when I was making jewelry myself. I liked them and used them only as spacer beads in informal jewelry, but you can use them however you like (of course). Please note that I know nothing about seed-bead sizing, so I am simply giving the size in millimeters as I measured it. I also know nothing about seed-bead pricing. I looked at some competitors' sites, and it was hard to find the type of beads I am selling. One site was selling similar-sized beads (plain and uncoated) for $2 for 25 grams, and that seemed like a reasonable price. |
