Opaque or semi-translucent beige with a brown picasso coating. The surface of the beads is half-way between shiny and matte. The surface is silky in appearance. |

| Defects: |
Many beads have one or two visible seams down the sides, and an occasional bead appears to have a crack, although no beads have come apart. If I notice that a bead has a small crack, I'm not eliminating it because the appearance of these beads is complex enough that the crack won't be very noticeable. |
| How photographed: |
Under two daylight-balanced lamps. Note: Using lamps leaves two bright spots on each bead -- especially on round beads -- but that can't be helped. Also, the close-up shots may show defects that the human eye can't discern. |
| Comments: |
The supplier says the beige bead under the picasso coating is opaque, but it looks milky to me. Please be sure to read about the defects above. |
