Defects:

I am selling these beads from two different suppliers.  The beads from supplier B are perfect or nearly so, and the beads from supplier C have problems.  The beads from supplier C have seams in the middle (in the form of a ridge), and most beads have several horizontal scratches.  The perfect beads sell for $2.50, and the imperfect beads sell for $1.80.  (I actually paid more for the imperfect beads, which is why the price isn't lower.

Comments:

As stated above, the beads from supplier C have a seam in the middle and also have horizontal scratches.  However, because the beads are small and reflective, the defects aren't obvious to the naked eye.  You have to look very closely or use a magnifying glass.  In fact, the picture shows the defective beads, and you'll find that you can't see the defects.  Hematite-colored beads are also called "gunmetal gray".
