Using a magnifying glass I found a variety of minor defects (an occasional pit, dent, fissure or bump), but almost none of them can be seen by the naked eye. However, I am inspecting the beads individually before shipping, so beads with significant defects will be eliminated. |

Under two daylight-balanced lamps. Note: Using lamps leaves two bright spots on each bead -- especially on round beads -- but that can't be helped. Also, the close-up shots may show defects that the human eye can't discern. |

I bought these beads from my supplier of premium Czech beads. At 16 cents each, they aren't expensive enough to put in my Premium category, but I decided to do that anyway -- because of price pressures from China, bead prices seem to be falling). I think they are attractive beads. Please note that the red color of the glass isn't quite accurate in my picture, but it is close. |
