8mm (long) x 6mm (wide) faceted ovals. These are not flat ovals but rather are foot-ball shaped. Being Chinese, the facets look different from Czech facets (neither nicer nor worse). |
| Colors/description: |
Translucent light green with a very mild iris coating (iris coatings are multicolored). The iris coating on these beads is so light that I can barely see it. |

| Defects: |
Chinese beads are not fire-polished, so the facets are perfectly flat. However, some beads will have very small chips at the edges of the facets. But then, they are considerably less expensive than Czech and Austrian crystal beads. |

I will be carrying more Chinese crystal beads in the future, so the question is whether I should give them the F designation (for "faceted") or the C designation (for "crystal"). So far, all of the F beads have been fire-polished, and fire-polished beads do not have perfect facets. Thus, the F designation will mean "fire-polished" from now on. On the surface, Chinese crystal beads appear as perfect as Czech Preciosa beads (Preciosa beads are the Czech equivalent of Swarovski beads), but I do believe that they have slightly more defects than the Preciosa beads do (mostly in the form of minute chips around the facets or around the hole). Regarding these beads, the supplier's picture showed beads that had a strong and glorious multi-colored iris coating, but the beads I got had a very weak coating. However, they are still nice. |
