Opaque olve green with a mottled picasso coating. It appears that the beads have been coated twice, once with a very-dark-brown coating, and some beads (not all) with an aqua-colored coating. |

Fire-polished beads always have some imperfect facets, but the imperfections won't be very visible because of the complexity of the coatings. |

After years of photographing beads at the window, I'm finding that they come out looking better if I use daylight-balanced lamp light (which is what I did in this case). However, the artificial lamp-light makes for very stark, contrasty pictures, which is what I feel happened in this case. I'm still perfecting my photographic technique. Please note that prices for Czech beads continue to climb (which is especially true for fancy beads like these), which is why my price-per-lot for these beads is a little high. |
