These beads are from my 1980's stash of beads, at which time I was making jewelry instead of selling beads. I used these beads in only a couple necklaces, but I liked them very much. When alternated with brightly colored beads with seed beads used as spacers, they make a very nice but simple necklace. Please note that the beads were a little dirty when I photographed them, and the dirt may be visible in the picture. (In other words, any black or gray specks are dirt, not defects.) The beads have very faded tags on them that appear to say "Made in Austria". Since going back into the bead business in 2002, I was under the impression that no beads were made in Austria, but obviously they must have been at one time. |
