These are Preciosa cut crystal beads, not fire-polished beads. These beads are the Czech equivalent of Swarovski beads. The facets of these beads are much more perfect than you will find on fire-polished beads. The amethyst glass in these beads has very little purple color in it; it is very grayish. The metallic coating, which appears on just part of each bead, has amber, blue and purple colors in it. I tried to tone the picture down a little, but even so, I think my picture makes the beads look a little nicer than they are. |
