Style no.: G2191
Beads per lot: 25
Cost per bead: 16 cents
Bead material: Glass
Country of origin: Czech Republic
Size/shape: 13mm wide x 7mm (thick) snail-shaped or cinnamon-bun-shaped beads, with the hold running through the long dimension.
Colors/description: Translucent light peach pink with swirls of gold-colored sparkles running through the beads; the amount of swirls vary from one bead to the next.
Hole size: 1mm (estimated).
Defects: I noticed while working with the beads that perhaps 5% of them are cracked (the crack always runs along the hole).  It is my intention to inspect all the beads for cracks; but in case I forget, you should inspect them for cracks yourself.  I will give you a pro-rated refund for cracked beads.
How photographed: Under a daylight-balanced lamp.
Comments: Important:  Under some kinds of light, these beads look somewhat dull.  The reason they look so bright and sparkly in my picture is that I photographed them under a bright studio light.  In bright daylight, they may also look sparkly; but under ambient daylight or normal artificial lights, they're not likely to look as impressive as they do in the picture.

I looked at images of aventurine on the internet, and what I saw were stones of various colors (mostly green) with sparkles in them.  It is apparent, then, that the word "aventurine" in the title is meant to refer to the overall appearance of the beads and doesn't mean that the sparkles themselves are the mineral aventurine.

Note:  In December, 2016 I lowered the price from 20 cents per bead to 16.  The beads were quite expensive, but the pink is very peachy (peachy pinks aren't that popular), and they weren't selling well.
