9mm Clear Picasso Faceted Nugget Beads [15]

Country of origin:  Czech Republic

Size/shape:  9mm (from hole to hole) nugget-shaped beads with facets around the middle.  The term "nugget" may not be quite accurate for these beads, but it's the closest I can come.  There are three ridges radiating out from each hole.

Colors/description:  Clear beads with a brown picasso coating, and then with a translucent bluish coating on top of that.  The beads were faceted after the coatings were applied, so there is no coating on the facets.
 
Hole size:  1mm (estimated).

Defects:  I haven't noticed any significant defects.  However, fire-polished beads always have some imperfect facets.

How photographed:  At the window in natural daylight.

Comments:  The picture makes these beads look darker than they actually are.  I laid them out on my dinner plate (the surface that I photograph beads on), and 90% of the beads came to rest in such a way that the brown picasso coating faced the camera.  The thumbnail picture above shows one bead in the center which is resting on its facets and shows you that the beads are clear through the center.  As I said above, there is a bluish coating which is applied on top of the brown picasso coating, and it gives the beads an interesting colorful sheen.  The blue coating doesn't show very well in the picture.
