Translucent dark red with a spray of silver on one side of each bead. I don't know if the silver is fired onto the beads, so I don't know how durable it will be. (It is not real silver, and it won't tarnish.) |

The picture revealed that many of the beads have a depression around one hole, which means that on that side of the bead, any spacer bead you use will sit in further than it should. If you look at the zoomed-in crop, you'll see such a bead in the lower-right corner. |

Between two daylight balanced lamps. Unfortunately, the lamps left a string of light reflections around the perimeter of each bead, which can make it difficult to tell exactly what you are looking at. |

I purchased the last box of beads from a store that had gone out of business, and these beads were in them. I think they are interesting beads, but I don't know how much I like them. They are similar to AB beads in that they have silver sprayed on one side, but the silver is thicker and more opaque than you get on AB beads. Also, the silver doesn't have any rainbow-like colors in it, as is the case with AB beads. |
