I was surprised to discover that I had never posted plain 6mm ruby red beads before -- garnet beads yes, but not ruby red beads. I got these beads in a close-out from a store going out of business, so I am giving them a lower-than-normal price (also, not all of the beads are perfectly round). But the main thing you need to know is that the color in the picture probably doesn't represent the true color of the beads. Either my camera or my monitor is not able to capture the ruby red color; I say that because ruby red beads always come out looking a little orange. So what I do is I shift the color of the picture slightly towards the purple to make the beads look more ruby, but I can never get the picture totally right. (If the beads look purplish on your monitor, please let me know.) If my standard LCD monitor can't reproduce ruby red well, chances are that yours can't either. So until technology improves, it simply may not be possible to show certain colors (ruby red, cobalt blue) accurately on a computer screen. |
