These beads have what I call a "chameleon"
color – their color seems to change depending on the light source and the amount of light available. The
supplier's picture (below) shows beads which are brown/beige, and that's what I saw when I first opened the box and
looked at them under artificial light. But when I photographed them during the day, I was surprised to see
that they had turned blood red in the daylight (mixed with a very light tan or beige). My photograph above has been
heavily processed to make them look like they do in daylight (although they actually look even more red in
daylight). However, I am not working with a
color-calibrated monitor, and I am concerned that the picture may look a little bluish on other people's monitors.
However, the important thing for you to know is that these beads look red/beige in daylight, and brownish beige in
artificial light. Incidentally, they were extremely expensive. The supplier's picture:
