I haven't seen any significant defects.  I don't know how durable the coating will be, but I haven't seen any evidence that it will come off easily.

Comments:

These beads are a little dull.  The color is more gray than lavender.  I took the picture in the light tent, which makes them look even more dull, but they do have a shiny surface.
