Beads per lot: |
115 to 120 beads |
|
Cost per bead: |
3.2 cents |
|
Bead
material: |
Glass |
|
Country of
origin: |
Czech Republic |
|
Size/shape: |
4mm cube-shaped.
They are 4mm from corner to corner, but only about 3.5mm from hole to
hole. |
|
Colors/description: |
Glass beads (probably opaque white) with a light olive green pearl
coating. |
|
Hole size: |
1mm (estimated). |
|
Defects: |
The coating on Czech pearls is fairly thin, and I don't know how durable it
is. Inevitably a few pearls will be missing
some coating around
one of the holes, but those beads are often still usable. Sometimes
there are sharp little "tags" of coating sticking out around some of the
holes; the best way to remove them is with cuticle nippers. A few pearls may also have some anomalies in the
coating, such as small lumps or indentations. |
|
How photographed: |
In a light tent which I no longer use, with studio lights. |
|
Comments: |
The beads come strung on strands of 120 beads, although some strands may be missing a bead or two. This is a
fairly light shade of olive green; usually olive green is darker. |
