Defects:

An occasional bead has a defect (I think I saw one with a crack under the coating, and another with a dent), but the coating has such a complex appearance that defects aren't noticeable.  I looked over a hank of beads while writing this page, and didn't notice any further defects.

Comments:

I have never been a fan of white picasso beads, but many customers love them.  However, I do like the hexagonal oval shape.  If you enlarge the picture above, you'll see that the darkness and concentration of picasso dots changes from bead to bead.
