The holes on these beads appear to be rough or "frosty".

Comments:

These beads have an iridescent luster coating that reflects rainbow-like colors, but the effect is very slight. I bought these beads mail-order, and I found them a little disappointing. However, because the iridescent coating is very mild, you could use them in place of plain clear beads. Below is the supplier's picture, which shows the coating better than my picture. The term "crystal" just means that the glass is clear; there is no lead in these beads.
