Defects:

Many matte beads have a grayish color to the bead surface.  The reason, I believe, is that the acid they use to roughen the surface bleaches the color out of the surface of the glass.  However, the grayish film on these beads is not as noticeable as it is on other matte beads I have seen.

Second batch:  I noticed that some beads have small dings or dents in the surface.  The dings are so small that they are barely noticeable.  However, I have nonetheless lowered the price.

Comments:

I am selling the second batch of these beads.  They look a little more green to me than the picture above, which shows the first batch.  However, that may have to do with the fact that I am examining them at night under a yellow artificial light.  If I remember, I'll look at them in the daylight and then revise this page if I am wrong.
