Size/shape: |
A mixture of
round, oval and rondelle beads in the sizes 6mm to 9mm. |
|
Colors/description: |
A mixture of pastel opalescent or swirled colors, including light blue,
light aqua, olive green, pink, orange, topaz, violet, beige and other
colors. In this particular batch, there seems to be more light aqua
and light blue ovals than any other beads. All beads have a shiny
luster coating on them. |
|
Defects: |
These are Indian beads, so the size and shape are not uniform from one
bead to the next. The percentage of beads with defects appears to be
small, under 5%. |
|
Hole size: |
1mm
to 2mm (estimated). Most beads appear to have 1.5mm holes. |
|
Comments: |
Although Indian beads aren't as perfectly uniform as Czech beads, I find
that I really love them because the colors are often more interesting.
I have carried this particular mix on-and-off since 2005, and it is one of
my favorites. The colors are delicate and pretty. These beads
are so nice that all you really need to do is to string them together to
make an attractive bracelet. The supplier has raised its price since
I first purchased them, but they had a 50% off sale, so I was able to
lower the price a little.
About the picture:
First, the latest batch does not have any dark colors in it (such as the
dark blue or fuchsia shown in the photo); all the colors are pastel.
Indeed, the picture is a little dark overall. Also, the proportion
of colors is a little different from the batch shown in the picture. |
