A quick examination of the beads revealed a pit on one bead, but I didn't see any other defects.

Comments:

I love cube-shaped beads, and I find these diagonal holes to be intriguing.  Please note that in low light, the beads are very dark.  They require bright light (such as sunlight) to really reveal the blue color.
