Country of
origin: |
Czech Republic |
|
Size/shape: |
13.5mm (from base of shell to tip) x 14mm (wide) shell-shaped beads with
the hole running sideways through the narrow end. The beads
are about 5.5mm thick. When
viewed from the side, the beads taper from the base to the tip. |

Colors/description: |
Opaque satiny yellowish green. |
|
Hole size: |
1mm (estimated). |
|
Defects: |
These beads have heavy defects. Some are cracked, and many of them
have unacceptable anomalies in the glass. I am inspecting all of the
beads, so you won't get the beads with the worst defects (although you may
get some beads with less severe defects). |
|
How photographed: |
The picture was taken by the supplier.
It isn't very good, and I intend to do my own picture at some point. |
|
Comments: |
I bought this shape in two colors – pink and green – at the same time.
The pink beads are in good shape, but the green beads are in terrible
shape (I should
have returned them, but I had already cut the bags open). The good
beads are premium-quality, so I've decided to handle the price this way:
Since I am throwing away 50% of the beads, that makes the remaining beads
more expensive. So I am charging more for them than for the pink
beads, but only 25% more. Since I am throwing away so many beads, I
am making less money on these beads than on the pink beads.
About the picture: The supplier's
picture isn't very good, and I should replace it. The beads are
actually nicer (and certainly shinier) than the supplier's picture shows. |
