material: |
Glass |
|
Country of
origin: |
Czech Republic |
|
Size/shape: |
13.5mm (from base of shell to tip) x 14mm (wide) shell-shaped beads with
the hole running from the base to the tip; about 5.5mm thick. When
viewed from the side, the beads taper from the base to the tip. |
|
Colors/description: |
Opaque satiny pink with subtle stripes (not all the stripes are as narrow
as the ones shown in the picture). The color is a little muted, and
it does not match the color of the G326 ovals (those beads have a
brighter color). |
|
Hole size: |
1mm (estimated). |
|
Defects: |
The stripes are not perfectly even in all the beads. Also, some
beads have small areas of clear glass. As long as the overall
appearance is pink, I'm not counting those anomalies as defects. |

Comments: |
These beads were a surprise. They are sold loose in bags by the
kilo. Normally, not the best beads are sold like that. But
these beads have the look of high-quality beads. I certainly
consider pink satin glass to be high-quality. They don't have any
cracks that I can see. Overall, I'm very pleased with them. |
