Bead
material: |
Glass |
|
Country of
origin: |
Czech Republic |
|
Size/shape: |
10mm long x 10mm wide x 5mm thick flat bell flowers. The hole runs
through the length (i.e., from the narrow to the wide end). |
|
Colors/description: |
Greenish turquoise with an uneven yellow-brown mottled "picasso" coating.
Some beads appear to have a mottled dark-red picasso coating on them in
addition to the brown. |
|
Hole size: |
1mm (estimated). |
|
Defects: |
The beads appear to be in good shape.
However, the pictures revealed that there are fine cracks or straw lines
near the wide end of the beads. But since the cracks and/or lines
are hard to see with the eyes, and since the beads aren't breaking apart
as a result of the small cracks, I'm not counting them as a defect and I
haven't lowered the price. |
|
How photographed: |
At the window in natural daylight. |
|
Comments: |
The turquoise color looks a bit more green to my eyes than it looks in the
picture. I'm not sure how much I like the picasso coating on these
beads. It is a little streaky and uneven, filling in the
indentations. |
