Semi-opaque or milky rose pink. |

Defects: |
The beads appear to be in good shape,
although an occasional bead may be malformed. A small number of
beads have areas that are completely clear, but I'm not counting that as a
defect (if I were making jewelry, I would use those beads). |

At the window in natural daylight. |

Comments: |
The supplier describes these beads as "pink opalescent", but they really
aren't. They are milky pink. One thing I noticed is that the
intensity of the pink (or perhaps I should say the shade of pink) can vary
slightly from one bead to the next, which I like as it gives the beads
more character. As noted above, some beads have areas that are
completely clear. I believe, although I'm not sure, that the
manufacturer uses a bit of clear glass (which would be more viscous) when
making opaque colors in order to facilitate the molding process. |
