Bead
material: |
Glass |
|
Country of
origin: |
Czech Republic |
|
Size/shape: |
12mm ovals with a curl, like the curl of
potato chips. |
|
Colors/description: |
Turquoise (opaque aqua) with a
golden-brown or possibly olive-green mottled coating. (I think the coating may be golden brown, but against
the turquoise, it looks olive green – but I'm not sure.) |
|
Hole size: |
1mm (estimated). |
|
Defects: |
The picture seems to reveal that
some beads are cracked, but that isn't evident to the naked eye because of the picasso coating. There is no
evidence that the beads are in danger of breaking apart (no broken beads in the bag), so I have not reduced the
price. However, a small percentage of the beads aren't perfectly shaped, so I did reduce the price slightly
for that reason. The number of beads with such defects is probably under 5%, but that's just a guess (in
other words, I didn't take a count of defective beads). |
|
How photographed: |
At the window in natural daylight. |

Comments: |
The supplier charges a premium price for
these beads, which is why my price is so high. The picasso coating is very well done. Picasso coatings
are usually brown, but in this case it is olive green. There is also a hint of blue in the coating. |
