Style no.:

G1519

Bead material:

Glass

Country of origin:

Czech Republic

Size/shape:

12mm flat rectangles with polished "windows" (8mm wide and 4mm thick).

Colors/description:

Translucent teal (greenish aqua) with a mottled dark-brown coating on the edges

Hole size:

1mm (estimated).

Defects:

I eliminate seriously defective beads before shipping.  Some windows may be polished at a slight angle, and those beads are not eliminated.  I eliminate beads with cracks, deep or long scratches, partially polished windows, large pits, large spots of picasso coating on the windows, and large bubbles in the glass (if the glass is translucent).  However, I don't count very small pits, small nicks, very shallow scratches that are hard to see, or small spots of picasso coating on the windows as defects.  If the beads are translucent, I don't eliminate beads with rough or frosty-looking holes running through them.  Some beads may have gotten picasso coating inside the holes, making the holes look dark, and I don't count those as defective.  If you receive any beads with serious defects, that means that I overlooked them, and you should contact me for a partial refund.

About the coating:  These beads in particular don't have a neat line between the polished window and the picasso coating.  The line can be wavy, so the beads don't look as neat as other rectangles with a picasso coating.  The coating seems to have a lighter under-layer which can sometimes be seen along the edge of the window.

How photographed:

At the window in natural daylight.

Comments:

The picture of these beads came out of the camera looking too blue, so I made adjustments to the color.  What you see on your monitor may differ from the actual color depending on how your monitor is adjusted.  The color of these beads is very rich, and I think they are attractive.
