Defects:

The beads have a variety of surface defects (mainly pits), and some may have cracks.  I found three beads in the package which had split in half, and that's an indication that other beads may have cracks.  However, I am unable to see the cracks because of the dark color of the beads.  Altogether, I can't say what percentage of the beads have defects.  Because of the defects, I reduced the price from $5.00 to $3.70 per lot.

Comments:

Regarding the defects mentioned above, some of them are barely noticeable, but overall they prevent the beads from looking really good.  Some customers won't mind the defects, and some will.  My overall feeling about these beads is that they are nice enough, but pedestrian.  Their finish isn't very glossy, and the overall effect is that they are fairly ordinary.
