1mm (estimated).

Defects:

I eliminate seriously defective beads before shipping.  I eliminate beads with cracks, deep or long scratches, partially polished windows, large pits, and large spots of picasso coating on the windows.  However, I don't count very small pits, small nicks, very shallow scratches that are hard to see, or small spots of picasso coating on the windows as defects.  Please note that the beads have many small bubbles in the glass, and I'm not counting those as a defect.  These beads, having horizontal stripes of color as they do, have some shallow horizontal indentations between the swirls of color; I don't count those as defects (they look like a normal part of the bead, and there isn't that many of them).  I don't eliminate beads with rough or frosty-looking holes running through them.  Some beads may have gotten picasso coating inside the holes, making the holes look dark, and I don't count those as defective.  If you receive any beads with serious defects, that means that I overlooked them, and you should contact me for a partial refund.

How photographed:

At the window in natural daylight.

Comments:

These are very nice beads.  My picture above is a little dark.  In bright light, the beads can look much lighter.
