Bead
material: |
glass |
|
Country of
origin: |
Czech Republic |
|
Size/shape: |
6mm round (spherical) |
|
Colors/description: |
A mixture of aqua, topaz, navy blue and
possibly green (though what I may be seeing is the aqua mixing with the topaz). Even though there may not be
any green in the beads, green is the overall impression. As is typical of Czech beads, each bead has a seam
in the middle. |
|
Defects: |
I examined the beads with a magnifying
glass, and it appears that about 10% are cracked, so I reduced the price by 10%. Please note that I didn't
make an exhaustive count of a large sample of beads to arrive at that percentage; it is just a rough guess.
Please see comments below. |
|
How photographed: |
At the window in natural daylight. |
|
Comments: |
Despite the fact that some beads are
cracked (see Defects above), they may all be usable. None of the beads have split apart, so the cracks are
not causing them to break. Furthermore, the combination of colors is so complex that the cracks aren't very
noticeable. In fact, some of the seams between the colors look like cracks. |
