|
Cost per bead: |
3.6 cents |
|
Bead
material: |
Glass |
|
Country of
origin: |
India |
|
Size/shape: |
Rondels
(flying-saucer-shaped beads), 6mm to 7mm wide and 3mm to 4mm thick. |
|
Colors/description: |
Opaque white with a luster coating (the
coating is hard to see in the picture). |
|
Hole size: |
1.5mm
to 2mm (estimated). |
|
Defects: |
5% to 10% of the beads are malformed, so
I dropped the price from $2.00 to $1.80. These are Indian beads, so they are not uniform from one to the
next. |

How photographed: |
At the window in natural daylight. |
|
Comments: |
These are Indian beads and are
definitely on the rustic side. They are not the same shape from one bead to the next. I haven't done
much jewelry-designing in recent years, but it seems to me that they should be used only in informal jewelry.
For some reason, this particular color has a higher percentage of defects than the other colors. |
