Translucent red with horizontal stripes on the surface (please see comments below).

Defects:

The beads appear to be in good shape, although I noticed some minor defects (pits, small scratches, etc.).  The hole running vertically through the beads sometimes looks to be a crack, but on close examination I didn't see any cracks (although I only examined some of them).  I lowered the price just a little to compensate for what defects I saw.

Comments:

Very important:  Like many red beads, these beads change in appearance depending on the light source and the intensity of the light.  In bright daylight, they look bright red with bright yellow streaks; but in low light (such as artificial light) they look dark, like maroon red, and the yellow streaks look somewhat opaque.  To give you a different view, here is the supplier's picture:
