Defects:

These beads are synthetically coated; I don't know how durable the coating will be.

Comments:

These beads can look fairly bright in bright daylight, but very dark in artificial light.  The gold speckles are not very bright, and are hard to see in the picture.  The supplier calls these "lapis"; but since I use that term to describe another bead style, I decided not to use it.  The truth be told, however, these beads probably look a little closer to true lapis than the other beads.
