Defects:

The nacre on Czech glass beads is not fire-polished and is not very thick, so these beads may be less durable than beads that have a glass surface (but I'm not sure of that).  A few pearls may be missing their nacre (pearl coating) around the hole.  Also, judging from the picture, many beads may have "tags" of coating at the holes.  I have also noticed that some beads have indentations in the coating on at least one surface of the cube.  I have written a special page about glass pearls; please click here to read it.

Despite all the so-called defects mentioned above, the beads look very good to the naked eye, with a nice satiny surface.
