Defects: |
I haven't noticed any defects. I
don't know how durable the sprayed-on coatings are (see below); however, I think there is a good chance that the
coatings are heat-sealed to the beads, but I'm not sure. I haven't seen any evidence of the coating coming
off – no flakes in the bag or anything like that. |

Comments: |
(1) The fuchsia color shown in the
picture may be a little more intense than the color of the actual beads. (2) These are really gorgeous
beads. Although the pink coating is somewhat speckled, to the naked eye it looks smooth. In fact, to
the eyes the beads appear to be made of pink glass. More and more Czech beads are being made with sprayed-on
coatings, partly (I think) because it is cheaper than putting the color in the glass, but also because it results
in beautiful beads. (3) Despite the fact that the manufacturing process for these beads was probably
inexpensive, the supplier charged a moderately high price for them, probably because they are so pretty. |
