a mixture of translucent pink glass with thin opaque pink stripes in it, and opaque orange stripes with an olive green picasso coating around the edges; the windows are hand-polished

Defects:

Because these are expensive beads, I examine them individually and eliminate seriously defective beads (such as beads with cracks or large pits or partially polished windows) before shipping.  However, small pits and short, shallow scratches are not counted as defects.  The polished beads made with mixed-color stripes are prone to large pits more than the other beads, but I eliminate those beads.

Comments:

Important:  My picture is not accurate in one respect.  It makes the pink portion of the beads look mostly opaque, but the pink portion is mostly translucent (that's why you can see the hole through the pink portions).
