translucent teal with an arrow-shaped white stripe in each bead, plus a mottled brown coating around the edges; the faces of the beads are hand-polished

Defects:

Because these are expensive beads, I examine them individually and eliminate seriously defective beads (such as beads with cracks or large pits or partially polished windows) before shipping.  However, small pits and short, shallow scratches are not counted as defects.  With some beads, the picasso coating may have gotten into the holes and made the holes black – I don't count those as defective.
