Colors/description:

This is the Czech "malachite" color, a combination of black and green.

Defects:

Some beads have areas that are all black.  The inside of the beads is all black with satiny green glass on the outside.  Sometimes, however, the outer green glass doesn't cover the black core.  I estimate that 5% to 10% of the beads have this problem, which is not as bad as I often find with Czech 'malachite' beads.  Since many customers may find those beads usable, I have compromised and reduced the priced by 5%, which is 20¢ per lot.

How photographed:

In the light tent with studio lights.  This method makes the beads look dull; the actual beads are much shinier than the picture shows.

Comments:

I'm not sure I got the color in the picture just right, but it is close.  I think the light-colored specks on the two beads in the bottom-center of the thumbnail are specks of dust.
