8mm (long) pyramid-shaped beads (about 8mm wide at the base) with the hole running through the center.

Colors/description:

Translucent sapphire.

Defects:

The beads appear to be in good shape, although an occasional bead may have a problem.

How photographed:

In the light tent under studio lights.  This method always makes the beads look dull.

Comments:

In some kinds of light, the beads look deep aqua.  They are much shinier than the picture indicates.  Note:  For a very long time I had these beads marked as 10mm.  The supplier said they were 10mm, and I accepted that number without measuring them myself.  It turns out that the supplier was measuring the base of the beads corner to corner (a dishonest way of measuring them).
