Defects:

The coating on Czech pearls is fairly thin, and I don't know how durable it will be.  Inevitably, a few pearls will be missing their coating around one of the holes (a common defect with Czech coated beads).  A few pearls may also have some anomalies in the coating, such as bumps, indentations or a bit of dirt.  I have written a special page about glass pearls and other coated beads; please click here to read it.

I was getting only cream-colored pearl beads, and then realized that some customers may just prefer white.
