When the beads are viewed in person, the swirls of opaque orange are more
distinct than they appear in the picture. Otherwise, the picture is
fairly accurate. The supplier, incidentally, calls these "ruby"
beads, but there is nothing red in the color as far as I can see.
They are clearly orange.
Here is the supplier's picture, which shows
the swirls much better than my picture shows them:

I must be doing something wrong with my
pictures, because this image is much better than mine. Perhaps I
need a better camera. Actually, my use of natural daylight is
probably the problem. Undiffused artificial light results in a much
sharper image (but the intense light reflections are usually unacceptable
to me). |
