Czech Republic |
|
Size/shape: |
11mm faceted long ovals, about 5mm thick. |
|
Colors/description: |
This is the "beach glass" mix: light blue, matte light blue, beige,
matte beige, light brown, matte light brown, light green, matte light
green. All the beads are translucent (i.e., no opaque beads), and
all the colors are in the coatings (the coatings are not synthetic).
Please note that the green color is so light you can barely see it. |
|
Hole size: |
1mm (estimated). |
|
Defects: |
I haven't noticed any significant
defects. However, fire-polished beads always have some imperfect facets. To read about the
fire-polishing process, click here. |
|
How photographed: |
At the window in natural daylight. |
|
Comments: |
I wish the light green color was stronger, but there's nothing I can do
about it. These beads were requested by a customer. I bought
the beads on sale, but even so the price came out pretty high (I applied
my lowest markup). The days of low-cost beads are over.
About the picture: Believe it or not,
the color of the actual beads is a little less intense (i.e., bright) than
the picture shows. Ordinarily I would have reduced the color
saturation of the picture, but when I did that the green color disappeared
entirely. As I said above, the green is barely visible. |
