6mm (hole to hole) x 9mm (wide) rondels with facetes around the middle (the ends, around the holes, are smooth).  A rondel is any round bead which is wider than it is long.

Colors/description:

Light lavender opalescent with a yellowish-brown mottled coating on the smooth portions.

Hole size:

1mm (estimated).

Defects:

I haven't noticed any significant defects.  However, fire-polished beads always have some imperfect facets.  To read about the fire-polishing process, click here.

To really get an idea of what the beads look like, you need to enlarge the thumbnail above by clicking on it.  My picture is really very poor.  I didn't arrange the beads intelligently on the plate.

I got these beads from my "premium" supplier.  They aren't necessarily better than other 6x9mm rondels I carry, but their price was considerably higher.
