Defects:

6mm+:  I haven't noticed any significant defects.  However, fire-polished beads always have some imperfect facets.  To read about the fire-polishing process, click here.

Comments:

Believe it or not, the actual beads are lighter and brighter than the picture shows.  The picture made the beads look like a mass of bright orange, and in order to make the individual beads more distinct, I had to darken the picture a little.  I have carried similar beads in the past, but those beads had opaque stripes in translucent orange glass.  Thus, they weren't exactly the same beads as these.
