Bead
material: |
Glass |

Country of
origin: |
Czech Republic |
|
Size/shape: |
6mm faceted beads in a shape the
supplier calls 'Renaissance'. These beads are fatter than normal 6mm beads, and they have molded ends in a
raised circular pattern (it's hard to describe). |
|
Colors/description: |
Translucent ruby red with a gray picasso
coating on the molded ends (and sometimes between the facets). If you enlarge the picture above, you'll see
that some beads are a darker red than others, but I don't consider that to be a defect. |
|
Hole size: |
1mm (estimated). |
|
Defects: |
I haven't noticed any significant
defects. However, fire-polished beads always have some imperfect facets. To read about the
fire-polishing process, click here. |
|
How photographed: |
At the window in natural daylight. |
|
Comments: |
In bright light, these beads are very
bright. The picasso coating on the ends is dark. |
