6mm round, faceted. |

Colors/description: |
Clear beads with brown paint in the
holes. I don't know how durable the paint will be. It will probably last for years, but I don't know
if it will last for decades. |
|
Hole size: |
1mm (estimated). |
|
Defects: |
I haven't noticed any significant
defects. However, fire-polished beads always have some imperfect facets. To read about the
fire-polishing process, click here. With paint-lined
beads like these, the paint sometimes gets on the outer part of the bead. In such cases, it can just be
scraped off with a fingernail. |

How photographed: |
At the window in natural daylight. |

Comments: |
Generally speaking, I don't care for
lined beads. Usually lined beads come with bright colors in the holes, like pink, blue and aqua. I got
these beads specifically because the dark-brown color was unusual, and I was intrigued. Now that I have
them, I can't decide whether I like them or not. |
