Defects:

Because of the expense of these beads, I am inspecting them individually and eliminating defective beads.  However, some beads have very small nicks in the glass and I am not counting those as defects.  These beads are not fire-polished, so they don't have the kinds of defective facets that fire-polished beads have.

Comments:

My picture above is a little dark.  The aqua areas of the beads look lighter to me than the picture shows.  Please note that from some angles, these beads look angular, and from other angles they look square.  Here is the supplier's picture, which gives you a different view:
These are Chinese beads, and I have to say that they are stunning.  I was more than a little surprised to get such good beads from China.  However, the price for the beads was higher than I expected, and the shipping was horribly expensive, which explains my high price.
